FOR EXAMPLE Did you know that Medicare recipients who also have low incomes might qualify for Medicaid coverage? For those who qualify, your state’s Medicaid program can supplement your Medicare coverage for certain services. Services may include nursing facility care beyond the 100-day limit covered by Medicare, prescription drugs, eyeglasses, and hearing aids.

Certain products and services offered by Enhanced Care Solutions are eligible for coverage by Medicare and/or Medicaid. For example, the glucose monitor and the blood pressure monitors are covered with a doctor’s prescription. The personal emergency response systems and medication dispenser systems may be eligible for reimbursement up to a preset dollar amount by your county’s Social Services Organization or Human Services Organization under a Medicaid waiver. There are 31 states that include these systems in their Medicaid waivers.
