The QuietCaresm System
Proactively -- but un-obtrusively -- ensuring the safety of seniors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- The system consists of five motion sensors placed in strategic locations in the senior's residence, such as in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and medicine cabinet. The placement of these sensors provide the system with a very thorough picture of the senior's activities of daily living, such as eating, medication, and sleeping patterns.
- The system "learns" what are normal activity patterns of the senior, such as usual wake-up time, meal times, and medication times.
Every two hours of every day, the activity data is transmitted to the secure QuietCare main server, where it is analyzed for patterns that are "out of the ordinary". - A status of the individual can be seen online by the family and institutional caregiver:
Green = Everything is normal
- When a red occurs, a central monitoring service (ADT Companion Services or Facility Personnel) will call the senior to check in on him/her and, if necessary, notify family, friends, and/or neighbors
