Provides a community program that offers: 1) hands-on assistance by volunteers with daily activities including transportation, errands, friendly visits, and respite care; 2) a Parish Nurse program that provides free or nominal cost health screening and health and wellness seminars; 3) resource counseling to locate the specific local services.

A network of non-profit, community based programs staffed by volunteers to assist elders who live in their homes in the community.  Services provided include companionship visits, telephone reassurance, simple home repairs, lawn/garden services, transportation, assisting with Medicare paperwork, and organizing social activities.  They also help arrange for Meals on Wheels, housekeeping/chore service, adult day care, respite support, and legal/financial assistance.  There are currently four programs operating in the Minneapolis area, 17 in the St. Paul area, and 24 in the outer areas of Minnesota.
